New Pokémon Snap: 10 Things We Want To See

9. Have A Massive Roster

Pokémon Snap was released nine months before Pokémon Gold/Silver so it only had characters from Generation I. Sadly, it wasn't a full roster. Of the 151 original Pokémon, only 63 made an appearance.

As you may have noticed during the unveiling of Pokémon Sword/Shield, pokéfans are not particularly fond of incomplete rosters. Sword/Shield boasted 400 Pokemon and yet, gamers were furious that over half the line-up was missing.

Only 35 types of Pokémon can be seen in the trailer for New Pokémon Snap but it's clear that critters from all eight generations will be making an appearance. Will it contain all 896 Pokémon? It's highly unlikely. Now, it doesn't need every single species (I doubt anyone is going to lose sleep if Trubbish or Luvdisc are absent), but it's imperative that New Pokémon Snap has all the key ones. (In the original, fan favourite Mewtwo only appears as a constellation.) Fans will hit the roof if New Pokémon Snap doesn't have the likes of Lucario or Celebi.

Even if the game lacks certain Pokémon, the developers will hopefully introduce more in the future through DLC.
