NFL 2K21: 10 Things Fans Want To See

2. 'On The Couch' Multiplayer

Madden 20
EA Sports

Sports games love to push online play over local multiplayer. That's just the way it is, and it's unlikely to change as the genre continues favouring modes like Madden Ultimate Team. This, again, leaves a sizeable hole that 2K can fill if they're paying attention.

The sheer joy of playing with friends in the same room needs a comeback.

Being able to camp out on the couch with a few buddies, some snacks and take turns battling one another for gridiron supremacy is the kind of thing some might think died in the early-2000s. That's sad, because it's one of the most sociably satisfying ways to play video games. Get on it, 2K.

Playing some multiplayer match-ups on the sofa with pals sounds fun, and it could feasibly turn NFL 2K21 into a monster party game that people keep coming back to time and time again if games are quick and accessible enough. Please (there's that word again), 2K. Put emphasis on local sessions.
