Nintendo NX: 10 Essential Video Games That Must Be Launch Titles

In late 2015, not only was the existence of Pikmin 4 confirmed, but Shigeru Miyamoto himself stated that the game was "very close to completion".

This is undeniably compelling evidence of the likelihood that the beloved platforming franchise will land on the NX as a launch title.

There are a few things working against this possibility, though: firstly, Miyamoto made a decidedly more ambiguous statement on the game recently, saying, "When we're in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit [Pikmin 4] into that list...But we're hopefully starting to see that on the list now."

Secondly, the Pikmin series has never been a sales juggernaut nor a system seller, so it's possible that Nintendo won't see a new title as necessary to the console's launch strategy moving forward. Wait and see.
