Nintendo NX: 11 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know

3. DeNA Are Working On A Membership Network

A major area where Nintendo have repeatedly fallen down is the complete lack of a feasible network for gamers to use. The games were there in the shape of Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. but the company simply couldn't match the brilliance of Xbox Live back in the day.

Microsoft's outstanding online platform was launched 13 years ago when the original Xbox was released, but it really took off in 2005 when the Xbox 360 hit the shelves. An entire decade later, Nintendo still feel way behind the 360's Xbox Live, but they've now decided to outsource their network production to DeNA. This should hopefully mean that the NX will come with a fully-operational online system, and Nintendo membership that transcends across their multiple consoles.
