Nintendo NX: 8 New Leaked Details You Need To Know
2. It Features Multi-Touch (And No Stylus)
The Leak: Unlike the touchscreen used by the Nintendo DS, 3DS and Wii U gamepad, the NX's touch screen will feature multi-touch technology, allowing the screen to register more than one input at any given time.
What It Means: From a hardware perspective, the NX sounds like a massive step up from Nintendo's previous handhelds and the Wii U gamepad. While multi-touch may not sound like a huge deal, it corroborates the notion of a substantially better screen resolution.
These days, the ability to pinch and pull a touchscreen in different ways allows for huge variety in the way we control our devices. While these are normally used for navigational purposes and functional shortcuts, Nintendo could absolutely integrate multi-touch into its games in fun and interesting ways.
WarioWare NX, anyone?
