Nintendo Switch: 10 Crucial Pros & Cons You Must Consider
You've got til the 3rd of March to weigh these up.
Nintendo's all-singing, all-dancing 'portable home console' has had one hell of a tumultuous relationship with the public. First we had a gloriously tantalising teaser, then a tone-deaf press conference that reversed expectations by showing the Switch had little to offer other than the next Zelda, then the technical specs came out, and all those hoping for something like a 'Call of Duty on the go' were quickly turned away.
In the end though, pre-orders sold out regardless. This IS a new Nintendo system, after all.
To be honest, it's not without good reason. The hardware forever seems spectacular in theory, providing the right developers can get behind it with the right amount of games (Rocket League on your lunch break, anyone?), but with reduced processing power and a litany of immediate issues that should've been so easily remedied at the R&D stage, it paints the picture of a console attempting to break into a sprint, but forever stumbling over its own shoelaces.
My early take is that people will want the Switch to succeed, enough to push it far past the Wii U anyway, but as you start saving up, considering an early pre-order or are still on the fence, it's best to take into account all the most obvious pros and cons going forward.
