Nintendo Switch: 10 Most Anticipated Exclusives Of 2021

2. Legend Of Zelda 35th Anniversary

Switch 2021
Nintendo

This is entirely speculative, but you probably don't need the Lens of Truth to deduce that, just as they did for their favourite mustachioed plumber, Nintendo will celebrate the 35th birthday of their otherwise timeless, time-travelling hero of Hyrule in 2021.

Does this mean the mouth-watering, heck, arse-watering prospect of Breath of the Wild 2 next year? Almost certainly not - though we can probably expect to see a bit more of it as part of the festivities. Most likely, we'll get a boxed compilation of the Wii U's Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD remasters, and an announcement - if not necessarily a release - of a Joy-con-adapted Skyward Sword, playable for a new generation (and those who fumbled through the original, for that matter).

How about a battle royale/MMO version of the original Legend of Zelda? After Super Mario Bros. 35, we can't (hy)rule anything out.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
