Nintendo Switch: 10 Painfully Obvious Ports We're STILL Waiting For
1. Metroid Prime Trilogy
Unsurprisingly, at the top of this mountain of demands is one of the very examples of Nintendo making a first-person shooter. However, this FPS is so much than standard. Much like Mario and Zelda, Nintendo took a 2D series and made something quite extraordinary while navigating the struggles of that extra added dimension.
The Metroid Prime Trilogy is an engrossing, sharply-designed sci-fi experience that is easily the most deserving of a proper remaster and port onto Nintendo's latest.
After all, Nintendo has to be aware of how fruitful this idea would be. Besides, after Metroid Prime 4 had to be scrapped and restarted, fans are looking at easily 3-4 years before it actually gets released.
A remaster of the first three installments would not only give players another reason to play through the series, but it would only make these classic titles better. Sharpen the visuals, enhance the atmosphere, make Metroid Prime look and feel exactly how players remember it.
This is Nintendo's premiere sci-fi series. Others have risen in its absence, but there's simply no unseating the queen, Samus Aran and her tense, claustrophobic efforts to survive against hostile alien forces. Gamers have their arm cannons at the ready, Nintendo just has to give their blessing and a release date.
