Nintendo Switch: 10 Painfully Obvious Ports We're STILL Waiting For

2. The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker

While just about every 3D Zelda title could be placed here, this slot has to go to the one that recently received the HD treatment on the Wii-U: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Link's GameCube era journey across Hyrule moved away from the mostly land-based adventuring of past Zeldas and kept much of the proceedings on water. While it was a drastic change to gameplay and its art style was initially quite divisive, the game is beloved by many 16+ years after its release.

This is another example of a port that's so incredibly easy for Nintendo to do that it's surprising they haven't done it already. The remastering and finetuning had been done with the Wii-U version, so all that really needs to be done is to transform the physical version of the game into its new cartridge Switch form.

With Zelda titles like Link's Awakening reemerging with more stylized art design in comparison to the likes of Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker's cutesy art direction fits right in-line with Nintendo's current passions. Best of all, WW is simply timeless.

Combat, sailing, and the framework of the story is just as endearing as it was more than a decade ago, so it still fits in fine alongside the 'more-advanced' offerings from this generation.
