Super Mario Odyssey! This is definitely a continuation of the Sunshine-Galaxy style of game as Nintendo have promised to deliver an large Mario sandbox game not seen since the days of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.

The trailer had a huge number of diverse elements in it including, most unusually, a level based in New York City offering parkour style gameplay with wallrunning and ledge catching.

Elsewhere, Mario had some sort of spaceship to journey between levels in - sort of a mashup between Pikmin and Super Mario Galaxy - and other locations included a forest at night-time, a dusty town (planet?) with a cafe Mario strolls into as seen in the first glimpse of Mario way back when, a world filled with colourful hills and mountains where Mario carried a turnip above his head from the days NES Super Mario Bros. 2 plus the Aztec-style level, again seen previously.

The theme of the game is a journey to an unknown world. The gameplay looked fast and fluid and had Mario performing forward rolls alongside the usual acrobatics to advance through the game. In the dusty town level, Mario also leapt onto a rooftop to collect purple triangles which may take the place of green or red coins from earlier games.

Most hilariously was a poster in New York City advertising an apparent "Royal Wedding" between Bowser and Princess Peach, with Bowser in full groom attire with white top hat which he can apparently throw at you. Just as Oddjob did back in Goldfinger.
