6. Arms Looks Like A Fun, Simple Beat 'Em Up

1-2 Switch may look thoroughly underwhelming, but one of the more interesting party games shown off was Arms, a boxing game revolving around extendable, mechanical boxing gloves.

Unlike 1-2 Switch, it's TV-centric, and revolves heavily around motion controls, with the player using a Joy-Con for each fist in order to punch their opponent.

It's due for release this spring and looks like a fun little romp with colourful visuals. It's just a shame you'll need two pairs of Joy-Con controllers if you want to play locally with a friend, which is quite a financial ask.
