Shout out to IGN's easter egg video for noticing this, but the version of Skyrim shown in the teaser was neither the 2011 original, nor the 'Definitive Edition' that's landing soon on PS4 and Xbox One.

Rather, its graphics were somewhere in the middle, bringing up a huge question in regards to third-party support for the Switch:

Are Nintendo Switch games going to be 'downgraded' or otherwise noticeably different than those of the main competition?

If you think back on how Sony used to port across their main PS3 library onto the PSP, we slowly got used to the idea that a 'PSP version' of something would be a different product. Nintendo have already enlisted a TON of third-party developers to work with them on the Switch, and although Bethesda are yet to confirm this above shot is from Skyrim, there's every chance that going forward we'll see 'Switch editions' of titles that are far better optimised to the console's needs.

After all, if someone said there was a '3DS version of Call of Duty', your mind would already factor in a reduction in many key areas. It's VERY early to say, but my guess would be that's how the Switch is going to go, because there's no way in hell this tech can keep up with the likes of the PS4 Pro or Xbox Scorpio, nor would Nintendo want it to.
