No Man's Sky: 15 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
12. How To Recharge Your Suit In Toxic Environments
Dangerous toxic environments seem to be quite common in No Man's Sky, based on the travels of the game's early adopters. As well as always checking your HUD to check the toxicity in a given environment, there are plenty of other precautions you can take to protect yourself. One of these is by hiding out in a cave, which protects you from the outside environment.
But you're a spaceman, not a caveman, so it's no fun to just hunker down underground. When traversing toxic environments, always be sure to have a good supply of Titanium, Zinc and Shielding Shards, which recharge your ExoSuit with Hazard Protection.
To do this, hit up the menu, go to your ExoSuit, the Hazard Protection slot, then press to recharge it.
Your starship also doubles as a refuelling station for the Toxic and Cold Protection in your Exosuit, so it's important to always keep your bearings about where you are in relation to your ship when exploring planets on foot (it's the white blip on your radar at the top-centre of your screen).
