14. How To Win Every Space Dogfight

The dogfighting in No Man's Sky can be a little too floaty for its own good (though you can unlock myriad upgrades to tighten up aiming and locomotion) but moreover, there are things you can do right now to guarantee survival.

First up, you probably noticed the small white circle that hangs "off" from your target? It denotes where a "leading" shot should land, and changes distance from centre mass the more your target is moving. Landing a shot in this area does double damage, and will make short work of even the most fierce enemies.

Second is making a point to boost towards any recently defeated foe. Where most give out elements like Magnetised Ferrite, every two or three ships will drop a full shield recharge. Essential for making it through higher Sentinel wanted level chases or even against other players, always stay on the move and catch these recharges whenever they appear.
