10. You Can Make A TON Of Money Mining Larval Cores

A quick scan of social media will bring up scores of players having their first encounters with the brilliantly vaguely-named "Biological Horrors" that occasionally show up on planets.

Triggered by attempting to mine the "Whispering Eggs" that lie near anything labelled "abandoned", the Larval Cores that come from inside these sacks are worth 90k+, depending on which system you're trading in.

To nab as many as possible without dying, fly up on top of whichever structure you're next to and wait for the attacking swarm to dissipate. Following this, blast one Egg open with your mining beam and leap down to grab the Larval Core, then retreat back to the safety of the roof once again.

Repeat to get 10 or more and you'll have a cool one million to drop on a more sizeable starship, or perhaps make the trade payment on a freighter.
