Okami: Ranking The 13 Celestial Brush Gods And Their Powers From Worst To Best
6. Itegami: Blizzard
Blizzard is the final brush technique obtained from Itegami,
a large ox with a conch horn attached to his neck. Blizzard allows the player
to draw a line from a source of ice to an object and freeze it.
While there are a ton of different ice sources available upon your acquisition of this brush technique in Kamui, outside of the snowy lands it is next to useless. You never really use Blizzard in any other places in the game, really only being utilised in the final dungeon.
This is the only time that the upgraded technique is acquired at the same time that you acquire the original technique, making Icestorm much more accessible to players. It is drawn far easier than some of the other techniques in the game, with a relatively large range in combat.
It uses a fair amount of ink, much like Fireburst or Thunderbolt, but it deals a lot of damage to fire-based enemies. Though ice is not extremely common to find, you can obtain the Tundra Beads which will allow Amaterasu to consistently harness the power of ice.
This skill sits in its rightful place as the last brush technique, being useful only in the last portion of the game.
