Okami: Ranking The 13 Celestial Brush Gods And Their Powers From Worst To Best
5. Nuregami: Waterspout
Nuregami is depicted as a snake trapped in a large jar full
of water. She teaches Amaterasu the Waterspout brush technique, which allows
the player to extinguish flames and create large geysers that you can walk on.
Once you obtain the Fire Tablet, you can also use this ability to create
geysers of lava.
While at first it is not the most useful ability, the two upgrades you can get make it much better. These two can be found in the Dragon Palace and Himiko’s Palace respectively.
The first upgrade is known as fountain, which allows the player to use Mermaid Springs without having to spend any Mermaid Coins. In a game with extremely large and expansive maps, the ability to teleport is extremely useful. Mermaid Springs are not extremely common in the game, but it makes traversing the world much easier.
Despite this however, you are later given the Mist Warp ability, which is much makes the Fountain technique basically useless seeing as mirrored save points are much more common than Mermaid Springs.
The second upgrade, known as Deluge, allows you to create rainfall, and subsequently, be able to use waterspout without needing a body of water near you.
While not the most important technique in the world, waterspout is definitely more useful than you might think.
