8. Summer Games
Though you could draw a line down the middle of Overwatch players, dividing those who love Lucioball and those who despise it, it's undeniable how unique this game mode is in comparison to all others.
It becomes an event unto itself, similar to the sport it's based on (football, or soccer for the Americans), and its mechanics make the gameplay both simpler, yet more exciting and stressful.
Another aspect of the summer games people enjoy is the skins, the past few years providing players with some (literal and figurative) hot designs for their favourite characters, with beach skins for Widowmaker, Pharah, D.Va, Baptiste, and McCree, as well as Torbjorn after popular demand. Junkrat also has his own beach skin, but received it during Winter Wonderland as a nod to Australia's summer taking place during North American and European winter.
The sportier skins also engender a feeling of team spirit, some skins repping the countries the characters came from, or simply show them engaging in the many different sports they might excel at.
It's an overall enjoyable event, only outdone by the ones that either engage with Overwatch's lore or simply feel more festive.
