Persona 5: 5 Spin-Offs We Want
2. Persona 5 Sports
Unlike the sporting juggernauts everyone pretends are indistinguishable from reality, a fantasy Persona 5 sports title would be more like Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games.
For some reason, one which would hopefully not be as stupid and convenient as Batman and Superman’s mothers both being named Martha, the Persona 5 party would find themselves stuck in a gruelling and deathly sports event inside someone’s distorted desires.
Afterwards, the scene is set. With shadows filling the stadium and heckling everything you do, you would complete against other demons in a variety of sports games: swimming and diving, tennis and badminton, four-a-side football, volleyball, javelin, track-and-field, archery and more.
Personas could team up with you in lighthearted face-offs – battles such as Ryuji and Captain Kidd Vs. Ann and Carmen – and seeing a phallic-like shadow with a tennis racket would only be as ridiculous as seeing the sperm-like Boo wielding one for the first time.
Plus, with how bad Final Fantasy X’s Blitz Ball was, isn’t it time for Atlus to spank Square Enix in the sports-genre, too?
