It had to be licensing didnt it? If there is one thing that Konami need to do (as difficult or as expensive as it is) is to get more real kits and players into the game. The shocking lack of Premier League teams is astonishing and no amount of Argentinian and Brazilian teams will change that. Factor in a lack of international kits, stadiums and sponsors and the game looks so unattractive it's very easy to see all the good work of the pitch based play coming to nothing as the PES arm goes under. Fans of the genre will surely hope not as its clear that many fans much prefer a game of PES to a game of FIFA. But unless Konami work on all these factors, there will be a real struggle to keep this ailing series going for much longer. Whats worse than having no PES in the world of gaming? It's FIFA having no competition and therefore no need to improve. And that is a sobering thought. What else do you think Konami need to improve for the next PES?
