PES 2015 is the deepest football game ever created by the Konami team with tactics, formations and player roles all incorporated superbly into the newer, more balanced gameplay. The system itself has been overhauled from years gone by and while PES 2014 laid the foundations for the slick interface still present in its newer brother, the inclusion of a feature called Fluid Formation has completely transformed the tactical side of PES. Basically, fluid formation gives you unlimited options and more games are about the tactical battle over 90 minutes rather than all out attack. Teams can be set out with 9 different formations, tactics and roles per game. Each team has a setting for when in possession, when without the ball and even if you go a goal up or goal down. Everything is catered for. This is one massive area to work on if you want to improve your game immensely. Learn how to set up your team by either man marking and nullifying key players or double up on whichever flank you're struggling to defend. Two extremely good options are to put your defensive midfielder man marking a striker or attacking midfielder throughout the whole game and for your wingers to switch sides every couple of attacks. This confuses opponents and means you will drag defenders all over the pitch. 4-2-3-1 has always been a excellent formation in PES but don't be afraid to tweak the tactics and learn from playing the game with different teams. PES rewards players who think like footballers. So that's it, don't forget to get in touch below and let us know if you have any tips of your own over the coming weeks!
