PlayStation 4: 5 Ways To Regain Fans' Excitement

4. Give Us A Price

ps4price How much is it going to cost? This was yet another issue Sony failed to address at their New York launch event a week ago, and we're all still in the dark as to how much we will have to spend on the product. When the PS3 was launched in Europe back in 2007, it sold for £425 ($599) which was an inordinate amount of cash to be splashing on a console. Its successor, however, has been rumoured to be going on the market for the much lesser price of £310 upon release. That alone is something to get excited about. A saving of almost £100 is big news, yet Sony missed a trick by failing to pick up on that particular excitement and left the price tag ambiguous. If they went ahead and revealed the PS4 would be available for a "knock down price", they would garner a lot more excitement for the console. Also, given the period of time we could be left waiting for the release, having a definite figure thrown at us would make saving up our hard earned cash a much more rewarding experience and would give us a reason to put some money away.
