PlayStation 5: 9 Biggest Rumours About Sony's Next Console
4. A Competitive Price Tag
Sony was hit by an avalanche of fan discontent when it launched the PS3 at £425 - £140 more than the Xbox 360 - back in 2007.
It's a mistake the consumer electronics giant has learned from, and the PS5 is expected to follow the trend set by the PS4 by debuting with a competitive price tag.
The Mirror predicts that the next-generation PlayStation will be priced somewhere between £450 and £550 at launch, which sounds on the money considering the current-gen Xbox One X has touched down at £449.
Obviously the cost of the machine depends on what kind of tech Sony manages to cram inside, but don't expect a repeat of the PS3 pricing debacle.
