Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale: 10 PS2 Characters That Should Be Included
3. Big Boss (Metal Gear Solid)
With David Hayter recording voice work for All-Star Battle Royale we can draw draw two conclusions from this. One, Solid Snake will appear in the game. Two, Big Boss will appear in the game. I for one am saying that it'll be big boss who shows up. Why? Well simply because Snake is already in Super Smash Brothers, and Sony will want to distance their game from that one whenever possible. This would be a small but effective way of doing that. Sanke being a clone of big boss means the characters look the same anyway. Besides Big Boss was supposed to have superior CQC skills, which would certainly be put to good use in a brawler.
2. Ico (ICO)
The big question is, do we want Wander from Shadow of the Colossus, or Ico from, well you know, ICO? I'm going to present an argument that we should have the horned boy rather than the giant toppling lover. Ico stands out more. Without his horse Wander is just another guy with a sword. Yes he's a character beloved by all who were drawn into his heart wrenching tale, but here on this platform he wouldn't really stand out next to all of the other bombastic personalities he'd be sharing the screen with.
Ico is distinctive at first glance though. We have a young boy with A) Horns and B) a wooden sword, and possibly C) the help of a young woman. There's already a colossus themed stage, and the developers could take Ico in a few more interesting directions than Wander. In the end though I think Ico has more personality. We all know the real star of Colossus was Agro anyway.
