Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale: 10 PS2 Characters That Should Be Included

5. Pyramid Head (Silent Hill)

We gave a wink and a nod to the Resident Evil series in the previous PS1 article, and now it's time to pay homage to another horror franchise that began life on the Playstation. Hailing from what is considered the most frightening and greatest psychological horror game of all time, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2 would be a terrifying addition to All-Stars. While not much of a fighter in Silent Hill 2 (preferring to simply be a symbol of pants fouling terror), it's easy to imagine this monstrosity tearing his foes asunder. While being something of an imposing figure, you can't help but imagine how much damage he could do if he started swinging that gigantic blade of his.

4. Auron (Final Fantasy X)

Ok, so here's another Final Fantasy game when I already mentioned Final Fantasy VII in my last piece. There is a method to my madness though. I think Final Fantasy X should be represented in that it did what VII did to me, but for a younger generation. For people whose first console may have been a PS2, Final Fantasy X introduced them to a big bright world full of interesting characters. Final Fantasy VII was a turning point for me, and the same could be said for Final Fantasy X. I say this because I have repeatedly noticed that younger generations consider X to be their favourite game of the series, while older players will look back at VI, VII and IX to what they regard as the series pinnacle.

Why Auron though? Well he's pretty cool. He wears sunglasses and doesn't realise that you can use both of the sleeves on your coat at the same time. A man with such a nonchalant attitude to his attire is not a man to be messed with. Plus it helps that he stands out with his blazing red coat and large curved sword. One of his special attacks in FFX was spraying his sword with booze. What's not to like?
