PlayStation Now: 15 Massively Underrated Games You Must Play
13. Siren: Blood Curse
From one stealth game to another, although you'd probably not know it from the various screenshots of fright-fest Siren: Blood Curse. Made by legendary Silent Hill-creator Keiichiro Toyama, Siren's selling point isn't only its impeccable graphics (which hold up supremely well considering you'll be on PS4), but a unique vision mode called 'Sightjacking'. Basically, Blood Curse takes place across a number of episodes featuring you playing as a wide assortment of characters (from high schoolers to TV show hosts) as they attempt to navigate some spooky as hell Japanese villages. As you can assume from the title, not all is well with where you're headed, but the Sightjacking feature allows you to hop across first-person viewpoints into the various zombie-like Shibito that are also shambling about. The best thing, is the game treats it like a TV channel, with you struggling to focus and hone in on a particular 'station' for each enemy - setting up some extremely effective dynamic jump-scares when you accidentally 'jack' into a Shibito that's right behind you. There's so much more to Blood Curse that just this ability, but immediately it lets you know that creator Toyama's spark is still burning brightly - something you'll only be increasingly glad of the more you get stuck in.
