6. It's The Most Challenging To Nuzlocke
With the game's increased chance of critical hits, smarter AI, stronger gym leaders, and stronger trainers, Pokemon Platinum is regarded by many as the most challenging to Nuzlocke. For those that don't know what a Nuzlocke is here's the basic concept of it.
In a Nuzlocke you have to nickname every Pokémon you catch. This isn't a big deal since a lot of people do this anyway. The second rule is that you can only catch the first Pokémon you encounter on each route.
There is a species clause to this allowing you to catch the first Pokémon you haven't already had. This way you can raise Pokémon you never considered raising before, like Swallot or Bronzong. The third, and hardest rule, if a Pokémon faints it is actually dead and must be released.
Many people have tried the Nuzlocke, and if you get on Reddit and see which game is the most challenging, you will find that most people agree that it is Platinum. That's understandable considering how everyone is usually on par with you and your Pokémon throughout the game. Because of the difficulty many people have a hard time even getting to the Elite Four, let alone the champion, Cynthia. Oh and speaking of Cynthia...
