Pokemon: 10 Things We Want To See In The Future

3. Better Mini Games

The Nintendo DS generation games have been filled with a number of extra diversions for those players not so keen on blitzing through the competition and pasting the Elite Four as quickly as possible. While enjoyable at first, things Pokemon Musicals and Films quickly lose their appeal for more competitive players. So now take a moment to remember 'Pokemon Snap'. The game has become a cult classic and one that Pokemon fans are desperate to see make a return. In the absence of seeing it return as a full title, it would make an excellent mini game for a 3DS Pokemon game. The game's map could include a safari zone-esque location where players are able to capture the Pokemon on film as well as in battle. The touch screen could house a basic but effective camera interface while the top screen could house a simple map to allow players to see what area they are in. Granted this is an underdeveloped idea right now, but one that could be very well executed and most likely prove very popular with long-standing fans. And the mini-games don't need to stop there. The touch screen could be utilised again for Pokemon training purposes if battling just gets too boring. The touch screen could be used for target practice with moves like Water Gun and Flamethrower or perhaps even strength improving tasks like tapping the screen to break stone with Rock Smash. The possibilities are endless, even as tired as I am right now.
