Pokemon: 10 Things We Want To See In The Future

4. A Customisable Trainer

It's always nice to step into the shoes of the excited youngster waking up to choose the Pokemon that will be their partner through the highs and lows of their journey to become the best. With the trainers we're given, though, it's often hard to fully imagine that it is you on that journey. Short of choosing the correct gender and giving the trainer your name (or that cool name you always wished your parents had given you) there are no chances to put your own stamp on your character for this RPG series. The chance to create your own character, even through a very basic batch of preset options would personalise the experience far more and perhaps even make it feel more like a fully-realised RPG. The games have included customisation options in the past where players are able to decorate a secret base or room in a way that suits their tastes and personality. With a few different hairstyles, outfits and maybe even sprite poses these customisation options could enhance the RPG appeal even further. Not that this is a series struggling for fans, mind you...
