1. Inkay To Malamar
Both Inkay and its evolved form Malamar are interesting Pokémon to say the least. With creative, colourful designs their aesthetic is wonderful, and as dual Dark/Psychic types, they can be incredibly useful in battle, but the most unique thing about the species is without a doubt the method of evolution.
As good as a Pokémon Inkay may be, it is unlikely to remain in a trainer's party all the way to the Pokémon League without evolving. To achieve this the trainer has to participate in possibly the craziest evolution in all the Pokémon universe.
Once Inkay reaches level 30 it will evolve into Malamar, but only if it happens while the player's Nintendo 3DS system is turned upside down. Though this is a very fitting method for the revolving Pokémon and the overturning Pokémon, there is absolutely no way anyone would be able to figure this out without the help of the internet.
