Pokémon: 10 Weirdest Evolution Methods
7. Pancham To Pangoro
Pancham is an adorable little bear Pokémon, very reminiscent of Teddiursa and Cubchoo that came in generations before. As with its predecessors, Pancham evolves from its cute, huggable form into a hulking beast. Pangoro is far more intimidating that its pre-evolved form, and may be difficult to come by without the help of the internet.
For Pancham to evolve, it must reach level 32 while the trainer has a Dark type Pokémon already a part of their team. Quite why this makes a difference to the playful Pokémon's evolution is unknown, but it is certainly a fun quirk that would make a nice surprise if the trainer just so happened to employ a Dark type as part of their unit.
The irony of this method, seeing as the trainer would already have the Dark type covered within their party, is that the dual Dark typing Pangoro picks up after evolution would be potentially redundant. Yet on the other hand, there is no denying the great design of the daunting Pokémon, and as the saying goes, you have got to catch them all.
