12. Specific Research Tasks Give Specific Pokémon

The above graphic is taken from fan GezimS, hosted on Eurogamer, but know that the Research Tasks you're obtaining from Pokestops don't actually have random rewards.

Instead, as seem above they'll drop specific Pokemon depending on what you're doing - so make a point of discarding the tasks you don't want. Just tap the "trash" icon in the corner of the research banner and visit another Pokestop - there's no limit on how many you can cycle through.

Now, this above picture will no longer be applicable come July 1st 2018, as Niantic alter and cycle rewards every month to keep things fresh.

Still, knowing drops is helpful for clearing out the "Mythical Discovery" quests, or if you're looking to horde specific candies. Keep an eye on the game's various fan sites (shout out to The Silph Road Reddit) to stay on top of what's changing each month.
