2. Cloyster

I’ll just come right out and say what many other people across the internet already have; Cloyster looks like a vagina.

Yes, in the western versions of Red and Blue you could kind of overlook this because Cloyster was shown sideways for whatever reason. Pokemon Yellow, though, rotated it 90 degrees and added a well-placed spike above its face that made the resemblance impossible to ignore.

Granted, bivalves naturally lend themselves well to the Pokemon formula. They’re functionally armored and that makes clams, oysters and scallops a natural fit for a series like Pokemon. That said, there isn’t a single clam, oyster or scallop that has inner and outer shells, or a large protrusion just above its opening!

The designers over at Game Freak must have noticed this, right? So how did this make the final release?!
