10. Lurantis

Set to be introduced as the Totem Pokémon of the Lush Jungle for the Akala Island trial, Lurantis is likely to be a very aggressive Grass Type. At present its confirmed moves are very offensive-minded, with the newly introduced Solar Blade joining the likes of Razor Leaf in its repertoire. Solar Blade was certainly one of the most impressive-looking moves in the new trailers, showcasing the game's improved battle scenes brilliantly.

But while many Grass Types have typically been supporting players over the years, this early information suggests Lurantis seems to be a much more belligerent option. Falling into a category usually reserved for Grass Type starters like Snivy or Treecko, Lurantis will be a great option for players who like their team to be set up as an all-out attacking force.

The new appearance is also very pleasing; while a lot of Grass Types since the third generation have been very flowery, Lurantis' mantis-like appearance satisfyingly breaks the mould.
