Pokémon Switch: 10 Ways To Make The Best Pokémon Game Ever

5. More Customization

Credit where its due, the choices provided by Sun & Moon's character customization suite far surpassed any that came before it, but by RPG standards, they're still just mere baby steps. Skin colour, hairstyle, gender and apparel are all interchangeable, but it's difficult to accept those additions as anything but superfluous, thanks to the continued use of a rigid template.

Age, height, weight: where are the options for these, Game Freak? Are we forever doomed to wander the lands as a prepubescent teen born without a voice box? It sure would be nice to control an avatar that can at least see over the counter at a Poké Mart.

But don't stop there. The Pokémon we spend days and weeks nurturing deserve to be distinguishable from the herd, too. That's not a request to play dress up with Pikachu, by the way; Pokémon can age, scar and mutate just like us humans, so have that be reflected visually.

Has your Mewtwo been through the wringer and lived to tell the tale? Give him the battle scars to prove it!
