Pokémon Sword & Shield: 10 New Styles That MUST Be In Gen 8
1. Alolan/Galar Weezing
Just like Pidgey, Weezing is a great choice for a region specific typing. Potentially Koffing as well for the whole family, but Raichu, Marowak and Exeggutor all received Alolans without their pre-evos getting one, so anything could happen.
Considering London’s nickname is The Old Smoke, Weezing is the perfect embodiment of all that. It’s already Poison type, but with a greyer colour scheme it could have even more of a ‘smoggy’ look. All that remains then is for how the typing might change.
Given London’s famously terrible weather, rain is now synonymous with Great Britain itself. With this in mind, Water typing seems like it’s by far the most appropriate addition to Weezing’s typing.
There’s a lot of Water Pokémon around already, and Sobble is proving popular online too, but Gen I nostalgia means a lot of players would be happy to add Weezing to their party.
Water Poison Pokémon are nothing new, dating all the way back to the incredibly annoying Tentacool and Tentacruel of Kanto. However, both remain popular and have their uses; Poison for its wealth of status attacks and Water for its diversity of bulk.
