6. New Characters & Story
As always with a new generation of Pokémon comes a new set of friends, rivals and professors. We have been introduced to: Hop, our main rival for this new adventure; Leon, the Champion and major celebrity of Galar and Professor Magnolia, our new researcher who will send us off on a quest to complete the new Pokédex.
These will provide a good source of exposition and dialogue as you progress throughout the game as well offering some of the more challenging battles you will encounter in the Galar region.
We have also had introductions to Bede and Marnie alongside our new suspected evil team, Team Yell. Encountering these new characters and discovering their backstory and significance to our journey as we explore Galar will provide such depth to the story and invest you, as a player, in your journey.
Additionally, engaging in conflict with Team Yell, Galar’s resident punk fanatics, will provide an increasingly difficult challenge as you make your way across the whole of the Galar region.
