Prey: 5 Reasons Why The Story Ultimately Fails
4. Sibling Bond
At the beginning of the game you learn that Alex is actually tricking you and you're supposed to not trust your older brother, who brought you here.
At the same time your character, Morgan, although not expressing any confusion, is at times listening to January and at times doing what Alex says, dependent on... what, exactly?
The problem with Morgan is that she/he has no personality. We don't learn about his doubts or fears, so we can't really know what she/he thinks. We only learn about her/him through recollections and logs.
Since the whole point of the "experiment" is to check if the Typhon are capable of empathy, a couple of recollections of childhood or forming a truce against parents aren't really that much convincing in presenting the bond between Morgan and Alex as particularly strong.
