PS2 Mini: 20 Games It MUST Include
8. Beyond Good And Evil
It feels like 2004’s Beyond Good and Evil was the product of a team that wanted to see just how many video game genres they could possibly cram into one experience. Though it's usually thrown under the umbrella term of action adventure, there is so much more to this intensely unique experience.
Featuring elements of exploration, platforming, dungeon crawling, stealth, racing, and even photography, this game doesn’t just wear many hats; it wears them well. It seems like games ambitious as this just aren’t green-lit anymore, and it’s strange to see something so utterly out-there come from a publishing house as bland as Ubisoft.
Unfortunately, Beyond Good and Evil was a financial flop when it first released on sixth generation hardware, though it grew to have a small cult following in the years following its debut. With the much-anticipated sequel seemingly releasing sometime before the meteor wipes humanity from the face of the planet, the original game would make for a great inclusion on the PlayStation 2 classic.
There was an HD remaster released on the PlayStation 3 some time ago, but the title has never been this in-demand, and it’s inclusion here feels like a no-brainer.
