PS2 Mini: 20 Games It MUST Include
18. Katamari Damacy
Katamari is without a doubt one of the weirdest games to ever see release on any console ever. Had the creators of the first Pong arcade machine been able to foresee what their invention would indirectly spawn, they would almost certainly have abandoned their endeavors in the name of public safety.
Sarcasm aside, 2004’s incredibly unique Katamari Damacy is definitely a PS2 must-play. Roll up the universe in a quest to right the wrongs of an incredibly negligent King of the Cosmos and have a blast while doing it.
It’s got an incredibly addictive arcade feel and an absurd amount of replayability. Though the game itself isn't all that lengthy, players will find themselves returning time and again to top their previous high scores and amass every possible object into their world-destroying ball.
The series has spawned quite a few sequels spanning across several Sony and Nintendo consoles and handheld systems. In December of 2018, a remaster of the original Katamari was released on the Switch (and, surprisingly enough, Steam) under the name Katamari Damacy Reroll. Since fan enthusiasm is obviously still there, it has to be on the PlayStation 2 Classic.
