PS2 Mini: 20 Games It MUST Include

There were a ton of great RPGs on the PlayStation 2, and, though most of the attention gets placed on titles like Final Fantasy X or Kingdom Hearts, there’s still a pretty dedicated following for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

It’s definitely a classic RPG through and through; turn-based combat, battles that can sometimes stretch beyond the twenty minute mark, and an epic, sweeping fantasy story focused on an unlikely hero on a quest to smite the ultimate evil in the land. In many ways, this is the quintessential PS2 RPG, and anyone who may have been too busy with similar titles back in the day would definitely want to give this a try should it come around on the PlayStation 2 classic.

Of course, it was re-released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2017, and that’s a great way to experience the game. Yet, those who can’t be without their Dualshock 2s and don’t want to shell out top dollar for an original copy of the game (depending on who is selling it) may want to wait for Sony to announce their PlayStation Classic followup.
