PS4: 10 Awesome Console Secrets EVERYONE Missed
9. Remote Play Via Your PC, Phone Or Vita
One of the more unique features of the PS4 is remote play which, if treated slightly better, could have been somewhat of a showstopper.
With slight grumbles aside, you can now play your PlayStation 4 via numerous external devices.
This includes the PlayStation Vita, mobile phones, tablets and even desktop computers. It’s really quite baffling that this kind of connectivity is being offered because in essence, it could be argued to go against the entire idea of consoles and the exclusivity they stand for.
Now, it’s not like you’ll be able to tweak and tinker with the system via any external devices, though, I’m sure some people have figured out how. It’s just a nice little option for players who need it.
Say, if you get kicked out the living room, or even the house. You might be at the airport for a business trip or at a family gathering. Simply connect your controller, download the appropriate software, boot it up and boom, you’ll be playing an almost identical experience with a different sized screen and, dependent on latency, small to moderate input delay.
