10. Setting Games To Download Remotely Through Rest Mode
Rest mode is without a doubt, the MVP of the PlayStation
4’s features, and something touted at launch that would take years before actual integration.
To start your rest mode adventures, head to settings, power save
settings and set features available in
rest mode. Here, you’ll be able to check keep applications suspended which basically equates to, never have to turn your PS4 off, ever.
Perhaps not great for energy bills, but if you don’t want to keep booting up
the system and games, it’s a huge time save.
While in rest mode you’ll also be able to use the PS4 to
charge controllers and update applications, which is very useful while at work
or asleep. Again, remember to activate these settings in the menus above.
Lastly and most impressively, the PS4 will be able to communicate with the
PlayStation App on your phone, which can have its advantages. For example, say
you’re at work while a new game comes out, you can purchase it via the
marketplace and set it to download and install to your connected PS4.
