PS4: 10 Biggest Mistakes Sony Have Made So Far
4. PlayStation Plus
Let's face one simple fact - nobody likes paying for online services. PlayStation definitely isn't the first to implement it, but it seems that they are set on doing it the worst.
The first problem with PlayStation Plus so far is the price. The original price was bad enough, but Sony have continually been raising the price of the subscription to try and accommodate the huge influx of new players. This would be alright if the services provided became better alongside, but so far they've stayed exactly the same.
This brings us to the biggest problem with PlayStation Plus recently - the free games. Yes, the games are technically free, but that doesn't excuse the laziness of some of them. Occasionally, gems like Rocket League and Infamous: Second Son can be offered, whilst other times consumers are treated to indie titles and general low quality games.
If Sony wants to compete with Microsoft in regards to their online services (which Microsoft is doing a lot better with at the moment), they really need to improve the quality of their offered games and stabilise the price somewhat. As it stands now, PlayStation Plus just isn't worth it.
