PS4: 10 Easy Platinum Trophies That Won't Take You Long To Unlock

4. Grim Fandango - Number Nine Ticket

Grim Fandango Achievement
Double Fine Productions

Grim Fandango is a point-and-click adventure title from the classic Lucasarts school, similar in style to Telltale's Monkey Island and their recent spate of licensed hits. Another thing they have in common is trophies, more specifically, is ridiculously easy platinums.

However, if you don't enjoy this style of game - lots of dialogue, very few gameplay mechanics, no action - then the 10 or 15 hours it takes to platinum Grim Fandango can end up feeling a lot longer. That being said, for those only interested in the trophies, you can blast through the game very quickly (taking care to select the dialogue choices that lead to trophies) then return to an old save file and clean up the remaining bronzes, silvers and golds.

For trophy-hunters, the best way to play Grim Fandango is to make separate save files at different parts of the game. This way, if you accidentally choose the wrong dialogue option, you can boot up the file that's closest to that section and get the trophy with ease. Use those save slots wisely!

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
