Needless to say, something that makes you feel instantly guilty is having to turn away a friend's invitation, but maybe you just want to play without being bothered by anybody for a bit? Sometimes - and increasingly more so for older gamers - multiplayer just isn't something you want to do every night, and alongside the option to be notified when specific friends come on (or all of them if you're waiting for a plan to come together), a status-setting for being online, away or offline yourself would do the trick. We've been doing it for years on instant-messaging services, and again the Xbox already has this, so why not the PS4 too?
