One of the major developer-side complaints about the PS3 was that it was the most difficult seventh-generation platform to code for, meaning that more developers were keen to work on the Xbox 360 because of its far more intuitive infrastructure. Again, Sony appear to have listened to criticism, and the PS4's design is based off of a PC architecture, making it considerably easier to work with, and interviews with prominent programmers in the gaming world have consistently stated that the PS4 is pretty much on par with the 720 in terms of ease of use (while almost all devs noted the Wii U as being the most challenging to work with).
