7. Unparalleled Sharing
In this day and age, it seems almost taboo to not share and document your life online in some form or another. It's good then that Sony picked up on current trends and literally made sharing as easy as pressing a button. Now I am not big on the whole sharing thing. I do however see its potential. The new way in which Sony promises the PS4 can share content is amazing. It constantly buffers the last few seconds of your gameplay, and if you decide that what you just did was share-worthy, you can go ahead and press that dedicated button. You may, like me, be asking yourself: why would I though? Well for starters you can very well allow the whole gaming community see what stunt you just pulled off on Watch Dogs perhaps. Or would you like to go deeper and allow your buddy to complete that assassination mission you couldn't get past on Assassins Creed IV. What if you want to see people fail missions constantly on Call of Duty and have a laugh at their expense? All of this can be done with the PS4. Ah, but wait. Doesn't the X1 have the same gameplay video sharing feature? Why, yes it does. The X1 is said to feature Upload Studio, something disturbingly similar to Sony's share button. Whether or not Microsoft heard about it and decided to copy it, will remain a mystery. It does happen to look that way though, thanks to Sony's brilliant timing this time round. In any case, the PS4 still wins this round considering you can do additional things such as playing for a friend remotely. Way to go Sony!
