3. It Doesn't Require An Internet Connection
Just to rub it in further, at the E3 Reveal, Sony did confirm that the PS4 will not require to be switched on all the time, and more importantly, an internet connection. While this seems like an obvious thing to do, Microsoft apparently did not get the memo. They instead went ahead and made an infrastructure that allows you to play offline for no more than 24 hours on your primary console, or 1 hour on a separate one. This is in addition to the fact that the console is said to perpetually remain in a low-power state (though Microsoft says it can be fully powered down). I don't know about you, but I don't like having my electricity bill run up. Imagine having your device locked by Microsoft all because you didn't log in for a day. Or what if your internet connection is being re-wired and it won't be fixed for 2 days? Or worse...you don't have access to the internet! It seems then, that Microsoft is giving away consumers freely to its competitors.
