App-switching tends to be another thing the Xbox One hangs its cap on, but again the PS4 has that function tucked away too - Sony just seem to be focussing on the games as oppose to going anywhere near aping something Microsoft's green giant did 'first'. Anyway, this is as simple as jumping into a game, then into any other app - be that the PS Store, Netflix, download list, the SHAREfactory etc. and once you've got more than one open, double-tapping the home button in the middle of the controller will switch between whatever you're looking at, and what you previously accessed beforehand. Perfect if you're streaming a show whilst waiting for something to download or update.
