Resetting the controller if it locks up is one thing, but you never know when you'll have to deal with a full system lock either. Where on the PS3 you only had to hold the power button for a few seconds, on the PS4 a quick tap will send it to sleep, but for a system shutdown you'll need to sit there for a full 10 seconds. It feels like an age before it responds, and as there's no main power button on the back of the PS4 this reliance on a console that's always in Sleep/Rest mode puts many electricity-saving owners on edge. It's definitely worth covering that you can turn it off altogether if you wish - just be prepared for a slightly lengthier boot sequence next time.
